Pashinyan: To achieve peace, all should serve in the army, do not  shirk service

ArmInfo. On August 21, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan met with the families of servicemen who died during the April war in 2016.

As the RA government's press service reports, during the meeting the  head of the Armenian government listened to understood problems and  concerns. "It is an honor for me to meet with you. I want to thank  you on behalf of the Republic of Armenia and the Armenian people for  their heroism and self-sacrifice of your children. I believe that  their behavior, courage, first of all, was brought up in the family,  " Nikol Pashinyan said, adding that two weeks ago a decision was  taken to expand the list of beneficiaries of the Military Insurance  Fund, which will give an opportunity to receive assistance to the  families of the victims and those who received disability after the  known This means that the families of servicemen killed in the April  war will also receive state assistance. "We hope that this help will  somehow ease your worries. This is not a purely financial issue, it  is a very important moral issue, which demonstrates that both the  public and the state are standing next to the families of those  killed in the defense of the Motherland or disabled servicemen, "the  RA Prime Minister said.

Answering the question of uncovered crimes during the April war,  Nikol Pashinyan said that even today they are asking whether all the  crimes committed during that period will be disclosed. "There are  already disclosed crimes, and everyone knows the episode, which is  connected with corruption and directly related to the April war,  including assistance, including equipment that did not reach the  soldiers. I think that everyone knows that when investigating these  cases But at the same time, these investigations should not cast a  shadow on the armed forces of the country, as we all know, and it is  obvious that the self-sacrifice of officers and soldiers is high,  "the head of the Armenian government said. He expressed the hope that  the Fund's capabilities will be constantly increasing, and the  support process will continue for many years to come.

Nikol Pashinyan also stressed that to achieve peace, all should serve  in the army, do not shy away from the service, do not take bribes and  illegally do not exempt from military service. "If there is a  military commissar in Armenia who takes money for release from  service, he must be punished in the most severe way, he does not have  the right to be an officer of the armed forces of the country," Nikol  Pashinyan accentuated.

Relatives and friends  of  perished  servicemen expressed gratitude  to the Prime Minister for the reception and the opportunity to  express their problems. They expressed the conviction that as a  result of the velvet revolution and the ongoing changes, it will be  possible to uncover all the crimes, including during the April war.
