Pashinyan: The conversation on the sale of weapons to Azerbaijan will  continue, not only with Russia, but also with Belarus - with  Armenia`s partners in the CSTO

ArmInfo."I spoke on the topic of selling Russian weapons to Azerbaijan with Russian President  Vladimir Putin, but I do not want to disclose the nuances of this conversation," Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told Ekho Moskvi.

Pashinyan assured that the conversation about arms sales will  continue, not only with Russia, but also with Belarus - with  Armenia's partners in the CSTO. Nevertheless, he stressed that  Armenia does not intend to leave the CSTO and join NATO: "Armenia is  a member of the CSTO, and we now want Armenia's membership in this  organization to become more effective. We have some questions to our  partners in the CSTO, and now our goal is to make this organization  more effective." Nevertheless, the Armenian Premier noted that the  partnership of Armenia with NATO within the framework of various  peacekeeping programs will be continued. "This cooperation is not  directed against anyone, we cooperate with Georgia in this framework,  because unfortunately, we and Georgia have different foreign policy  vectors, and we need to balance this situation. Within NATO, our  relations are very important for us with Georgia," Pashinyan  explained. Touching on his views on Russian President Vladimir Putin,  Pashinyan admitted that he was more "heavy". "But it was a very  pleasant surprise for me that he is a very straightforward and  sincere person, what pleases me in our relations is that we are  talking about everything directly and sincerely and I said after my  last visit to Moscow that our relations, the relations between  Armenia and Russia should be relations without dark corners. What  does this mean? It does not mean that we will always agree on  everything, which means that we will be sincere with each other, I  think this is the greatest friendship when two states, two people  look into each other's eyes directly.
