Aram Sargsyan: A certain number of freedom fighters want me to head  Yerkrapah Volunteers` Union 

ArmInfo. A certain number of freedom fighters want me to head Yerkrapah Volunteers' Union, Head of Republic Party, MP from Yelk faction Aram Sargsyan told journalists on June 29. 

He noted that after the criminal case against Manvel Grigoryan was  instituted a certain number of compatriots started to blame  Yerkarapah Union in everything considering the organization as the  reason of many problems in the country. "I have not put my candidacy  for the Chairman of the Yerkrapah Union, but a lot of members of the  Union decided that I was right, they called and wrote to me asking to  become the head of the Union, there were even collective proposals",  Sargsyan said. 

The MP also noted that as the possibility of war is real it is  obvious that the Union is a very important and valuable structure in  war conditions. "In that case any man who can hold weapon is  important. I think that the Union is one of the most mobile  structures that can leave for war immediately" Sargsyan noted.  "They  say that I did not go through the war with the members of the Union  and do not know them as much as necessary, they are right, I  participated in the war until 1992. I believe that the  representatives of the Erkrapah must unite as in Vazgen Sargsyan's  times and choose a new chairman, "Sargsyan said.  He noted that the  Union needs to solve numerous problems.

To note after the corrupt revelations and arrest of the head of the  Union Manvel Grigoryan, the organization decided to suspend his  chairmanship.
