Armenian Prime Minister wished peace and prosperity to people of  Georgia

ArmInfo.Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan sent a congratulatory message to the Prime Minister of Georgia Georgy Kvirikashvili on the occasion of the  national holiday of Georgia - the 100th anniversary of the  restoration of state independence.

As the press service of the government reports, Nikol Pashinyan  wished the Prime Minister of Georgia good health and further success  in his responsible work, and the people of Georgia - peace and  prosperity.  "I am sure that the friendly relations between our  peoples, as well as the high level of the current intergovernmental  relations between Armenia and Georgia, will continue to serve for the  benefit of our states," the message says.  Recall, the first official  visit of Nikol Pashinyan to Georgia in the status of Prime Minister  of Armenia is scheduled for May 30-31.  To note, today, on May 26,  Georgia marks the 100th anniversary of the restoration of state  independence.  Within the framework of the jubilee celebrations, more  than 200 events are planned. This year the festival will be  celebrated on a big scale, as it is timed to the 100th anniversary of  the proclamation of the independence of the country by the First  Democratic Government of Georgia led by Noe Jordania in 1918.  The  first independent republic lasted two and a half years - until  February 1921, when the country included parts of the Red Army,  establishing Soviet power.  "Georgia recognizes the success of the  whole world, in Europe Georgia is considered the country-leader of  the Eastern Partnership, and we believe that the 100th anniversary of  independence is very welcome, and we still have a lot of work and the  main task is the peaceful development of our country that step by  step we will fulfill this mission with dignity, "Prime Minister  Georgy Kvirikashvili said at a government meeting.

The Georgian authorities are waiting for an unprecedented number of  high-level foreign guests on the occasion of the holiday. The  administration of the head of state informed that the presidents of  seven countries will visit Tbilisi on May 26. According to local  media, among the invited heads of Poland, Slovakia, Latvia, Finland,  Armenia - Andrzej Duda, Andriy Kyska, Raimonds Vejonis, Sauli  Niiniste and Armen Sarkissian. Jean-Claude Juncker, the head of the  European Commission, and Jean-Ives Le Drian, the Minister of Foreign  Affairs of France, are also expected to attend the festivities. Some  of the guests, in particular, Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite  and Armenian President Armen Sarkissian, have already arrived in the  Georgian capital.
