Nikol Pashinyan will leave Prime Minister post in case of losing  nation`s support

ArmInfo.Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan will leave the post if he loses the support of the people. This was stated by the head of the government on May 11 after the first cabinet meeting he held.

According to Pashinyan, while he  enjoys public support, even the parliamentary opposition majority in  the person of the Republican Party is not interfering with his work,  as ex-President of Armenia Levon Ter-Petrosyan stated anxiously  yesterday, noting that in the status of the head of government he can  not use the resource of the public pressure on the parliamentary  majority.

"As long as we have public support, it will be fully used  for the development of the country, and when it does not exist - from  that moment I will cease my powers as prime minister," Pashinyan  said.

For today, as the head of the Government stated, consultations are  still being held on the formation of a new government. At the moment,  Pashinyan said only about his readiness to appoint the current acting  head of the Defense Ministry of Armenia. Ministry of Emergency  Situations David Tonoyan. Nevertheless, he once again reminded that  the Cabinet of Armenia will be a "consent government". "At this  point, I can say that the" Tsaroukyan "bloc will be included in the  Cabinet of Ministers, and discussions with ARF" Dashnaktsutyun "are  still underway," he said.
