Pashinyan and his supporters marched 12.5 km

ArmInfo.The leader of the Civil Contract party, MP Nikol Pashinyan and his supporters, who initiated the procession on the territory of Armenia March 31, marched 12.5 kilometers as a protest against the possible premiership of Serzh  Sargsyan. Nikol Pashinyan wrote about this on his Facebook page.

  In the evening of April 2, representatives of the initiative  discussed the situation that developed after the April 2016 war.  Participants in the discussions stated that Serzh Sargsyan is one of  the main culprits of the April war. In his turn, Pashinyan noted that  for 2 months before the beginning of the April war, an accumulation  of Azerbaijani troops was observed on the contact line. "It was quite  expected that Azerbaijan would strike and it is completely unclear  how the Armenian side was not ready for this turn of events,"  Pashinyan said.

People in the regions receive Pashinyan and his team very warmly,  tables are set for them, and many will join the procession. Pashinyan  himself expressed the hope that the two other parties representing  the bloc "Yelk" - "Enlightened Armenia" and "Republic" will also join  the procession.

Commenting on this action, the deputy speaker of the parliament,  Republican Party spokesman Edward Sharmazanov, said that all these  initiatives cannot affect the plans of the Republican Party during  the elections of the prime minister of the country. "The people  during the parliamentary elections, having voted for us, gave us the  authority to nominate the prime minister, and we will use our legal  right," he said.  Touching on the fact that the people warmly accept  Pashinyan, Sharmazanov said that this is not surprising, since the  leader of the State Duma also has his supporters, the political force  headed by him has won 120 thousand votes.

It should be noted that the procession will end on April 13 in  Yerevan, where at 18:30 the final rally will take place at the  Liberty Square, which will be followed by other protests, including  the encirclement of the National Assembly building, where the prime  minister's election is scheduled on April 19. The procession of  Pashinyan and his team began with Gyumri. The route includes such  cities as Vanadzor, Spitak, Dilijan, Sevan, Hrazdan, Abovyan,  Yerevan.
