Postanjyan: Armenia`s plenipotentiary structures should start a case  in connection with immoral behavior of members of the Republican  Party in the Yerevan Council of Elders

Now I and the members of our party intend to  wait and see how the authorized structures react to this, "Yerkir Tsirani Party leader stated at a press conference on October 13 Zaruhi Postanjyan, referring to the rude behavior of RPA members in the Yerevan Council of Elders.

"If the RPA representatives have no health problems, their behavior  should be considered as hooliganism, and if they are sick, they  should be treated," the party leader said, adding that if there are  no reactions from the law enforcers to the actions of the RPA  members, it is in once again proves that the laws in Armenia do not  work.

At the same time, Postanjyan stated that she was hurt not so much by  the improper behavior of the Republicans, as by the methods of work  of the capital's mayor's office and the mayor Taron Margaryan  himself. "Who and by what method determines who should get apartments  free of charge in the ownership at the expense of the capital's  municipality? Why different actors, singers or TV presenter, when  there are so many socially unsecured families in the country? And in  general, these apartments should not be given to the property, but  should to be given as social housing to those who do not have a roof  over their heads," said Postanjyan, stressing that only the change of  power can save the situation.

On October 11 the meeting of the Council of Elders of Yerevan was  held in an extremely heated atmosphere. The agenda included the issue  of awarding the titles of "Honorary Citizen of Yerevan" to several  artists. During the discussion of the candidates, a scandal arose  with the participation of representatives of the factions of the  ruling Republican Party and the opposition Yerkir Tsirani. The  Republicans pulled out the behavior of the Council members from the  "Yerkir Tsirani", who repeatedly interrupted the meeting, expressed  their discontent or shouted from their seats. In this regard, the  vice- mayor Kamo Areyan took the floor, from whose unrelated phrases  it could be understood that the RPA faction would not allow  oppositionists to denigrate the honest name of the mayor Taron  Margaryan and his team, to turn their lives into hell. Moreover,  Areyan promised to deprive the members of "Yerkir Tsirani" of a place  in Paradise, obviously forgetting that these places are not  distributed by the Yerevan City Hall.  Then Areyan accused  representatives of "Yerkir zirani" in infantilism and offered to shut  up. Another representative of the RPA faction in the Council, Kamo  Hovhannisyan, threatened Yerkir Tsirani member Marina Khachatryan  with a court for insulting the honor and dignity of the mayor Taron  Margaryan. At the end of the passion heated up to the fact that the  architect Levon Igityan began to swear at women from the "Yerkir  Tsirani" obscene language.
