Serzh Sargsyan: Despite the blockade and the Karabakh conflict, there  are two free and developing, day by day fortifying and prosperous  Armenian states

The President expressed confidence in the possibility of realizing  the existing plans, intentions and hopes.  "I believe in a more  peaceful and prosperous future for our country and for all of  humanity," Sargsyan assured with optimism. According to him, tension  is really great in today's world. "Almost everyone, including, in  front of us - a lot of serious challenges. But there are problems for  that, to solve them, and not to despair, "Sargsyan said, stressing  that the people of Armenia continue to work to increase their  defenses and their well-being.

He also expressed confidence that tomorrow's Armenia will face the  world as a rapidly developing country and an information society  equipped with advanced technologies. "The new scientific and  technological revolution taking place today in the world is an ally  of the Armenian people. This powerful ally changes and will still  change almost all our ideas about resources, be it natural, human,  financial or other resources.  New technologies enable individuals  and peoples with scarce resources to achieve incomparably abundant  results. It is a gift of fate for Armenia with its modest resources,  and we have no right not to take this opportunity. In those  industries where we are not yet fully ripe, we must educate, learn  and grow, move ahead of schedule. Our goal is clear - all spheres of  economic and social life should follow the path of countries that  have achieved success, "the statement said.

However, he stressed, one should not expect that economic development  alone will solve all our problems.  "In the modern world, migration  flows have increased dramatically. I also addressed this topic the  other day, during the Armenia-Diaspora Forum. The causes of these  flows are numerous and varied. In fact, we are painfully aware of the  outflow of population, and this is correct. In our case, this is a  matter of national security. We set the goal - to bring the  population of Armenia to 4 million. Considerable measures are  envisaged both in terms of increasing natural population growth and  in terms of organizing immigration, "the head of state assured.  Speaking about security issues, Sargsyan stressed that the past 26  years have unequivocally shown that the Republic of Armenia and the  Republic of Artsakh are viable and defensive, that the stories about  blockade Armenia are doomed to failure are useless, and that oil and  gas Azerbaijan will certainly achieve great success. 

"Moreover, we were tried to assure that the economic successes of  Azerbaijan will become the guarantee of the destruction of Artsakh  and Armenia. According  to the president, security issues in the current conditions are  related to all spheres of the country's life. "There are no trifles  or minor problems here," he summed up.
