The foster children of Gavar Boarding School won the top of Armagan mountain

 Foster children and teachers of Gavar Boarding School, as well as children from poor families, together with the staff of the ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank and Armenian representation of the "World Vision Armenia" international charity organization climbed to the top of the mountain Armagan of Geghama mountain ranges (Gegarkunik region), acsending more than 2800 meters on September 11.

The press service of the bank told ArmInfo that the campaigners visited the crater lake, located on the top of the mountain, visited the chapel, built on the site of an ancient sanctuary, took part in the discussions on Armenia's Independence Day.

The trekking for children was organized in the framework of the tripartite charitable and educational programs of the Bank ACBA-Credit Agricole, "World Vision Armenia" and the All-Armenian Fund "Hayastan". The purpose of the program is to expand the possibility for the students of Gavar orphanage of further vocational training and social integration. Employees of "World Vision Armenia" have also organized national games and other recreational pursuits for children. The event was in total participated by more than 40 children and 25 adults

Recall that ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank, All-Armenian Fund "Hayastan" and "World Vision Armenia" signed an agreement on June 30, 2014 on trilateral cooperation in the framework of which a charity- educational program was started in October of the same year for the pupils of Gavar orphanage. Under this program, at Gavar orphanage there was set up a training center in which more than 80 children - foster children of the boarding school, as well as children from poor families of Gegharkunik region aged 9-18 years were taught foreign languages, mathematics, history and professional training. The program is worth AMD 41 million is another charitable program within the framework of "VISA Charity" (Visa Barerar) co- branding card project of ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank and "Hayastan" Fund and first implemented in cooperation with World Vision Armenia.

In addition, holders of "VISA Charity" may make additional contributions. In order to attract more people to the project, "VISA Charity" payroll cards are served free of charge by the Bank during the term of the salary project.
