Nikol Pashinyan reappointed as Prime Minister of the Republic of  Armenia Armenia

ArmInfo.  Yesterday,  RA President Vahagn Khachaturyan, upon the recommendation of the ruling Civil Contract faction, signed a decree appointing Nikol Pashinyan as  Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia.

During a meeting with Pashinyan on August 2, Khachaturyan noted that  it was a great honor for him to sign the decree appointing him as  Prime Minister. "I sincerely congratulate you and wish you immense  patience, fortitude, and determination to lead us through these  difficult times and lead the country toward a prosperous future. I am  also confident that your integrity will, of course, serve  to  strengthen the statehood of the Republic of Armenia, based on the  principles of constitutionality, for the sake of a peaceful and  dignified future for the people of the Republic of Armenia.  Congratulations, Mr. Prime Minister," the RA President stated. 

In turn, the Prime Minister, expressed gratitude for the invitation  and the signing of the decree,  noting: "I must say sincerely: in  2018, when I assumed office as Prime Minister of the Republic of  Armenia as a result of the people's peaceful, velvet revolution, it  was difficult to predict that we would go through such a path, and I  think it was difficult to predict that we would be able to overcome  this path. But we are where we are, and I think that the key role and  significance in all of this clearly and indisputably belong to the  people of the Republic of Armenia, who, ultimately, have demonstrated  special manifestations of state consciousness and state-centricity  throughout this time. And of course, this is a great commitment and  responsibility. Of course, a government will be formed in the near  future, and all members of the government, including me, will have  already secured their commitments to our people with the oath of  office. I would also like to thank you for the message you delivered  today from the rostrum of the National Assembly. You sent very  important messages, which I have been closely following. I hope that  the the 9th convocation of the National Assembly  will ultimately  become a platform that will foster a clash of political ideas,  thoughts, and visions, rather than personalities.

Today, I also saw that Mr. Rubinyan, the candidate for Speaker of the  National Assembly nominated by the Civil Contract party, sent the  same message, demonstrating the Civil Contract faction's readiness to  work in parliament without personalized attacks, without resorting to  insults and insults.  Of course, the debates should and will be  heated, but what's crucial is what that heatedness is about—it should  be about political, economic, and socioeconomic content, not about  mutual attacks. In any case, we heard your message and will be guided  by it. I hope we can stay on track, because this process is not one-  sided, and if the opposition also finds this logic acceptable, I  think we will have much better work. Mr.  President, I would like to  thank you again for the support you've provided throughout this  entire process. Of course, we don't fully publicize  our meetings and  joint work, because at the working level we are in very close  dialogue and discuss numerous issues. During this time, in both  official and unofficial contacts, I have always seen and felt your  support, for which I am grateful," Nikol Pashinyan emphasized.

It should be noted that the entire government resigned yesterday.  Now, all ministers will serve as acting officials until the formation  of a new government. Following the formation of the country's newly  convened parliament, the structure of the new cabinet will be  presented, after which deputies will discuss the government's action  program, to be presented by RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
