


ArmInfo. Three films by renowned Austrian master of psychological suspense and International Competition jury chair Jessica Hausner will be screened as part of the special retrospective program of the Golden Apricot International Film Festival.
According to the press service of the film festival organizers, Yerevan audiences will be able to see Hausner's film Club Zero (2023), which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, as part of the Golden Apricot. Mia Wasikowska brilliantly plays the leading role in the film. It is a disturbing and captivating work with distinct Lynchian and Kubrickian intonations.
The next film will be Hotel (2004). This is a psychological thriller in which a young heroine is forced to confront her destiny in a dark, labyrinth-like hotel corridor.
Hausner's third film to be shown in Yerevan is "Dear Rita" (2001). This is Jessica Hausner's debut feature drama, which became a real breakthrough in the history of modern Austrian cinema immediately after its release.
As a reminder, this year's Golden Apricot Film Festival will take place from July 12th to 19th. The main screening venues will be the Moscow and Nairi cinemas, as well as the Cinema House.
