Armenian Ambassador to Japan Monika Simonyan discussed with Kono Taro, Director of the International Bureau of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party of Japan (LDP), issues of intensifying Armenian-Japanese interparliamentary relations, establishing effective cooperation, and implementing reciprocal visits.
According to the press service of the Armenian Embassy in Japan, the parties exchanged views on opportunities and steps aimed at developing Armenian-Japanese economic ties.
Simonyan presented the main components of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) project and the Armenian government's "Crossroads of Peace" initiative, touching on Armenia's approaches to institutionalizing peace in the region.
The Armenian Embassy also recalled that in 2018, Kono Taro visited Armenia as Japanese Foreign Minister, and thanks to his efforts, Asia's first Tumo center was opened in Gunma Prefecture, Japan.
