Pashinyan vows to "crush" political forces involved in election  bribery

ArmInfo.  The Republic of Armenia has overcome and is effectively managing all regional  threats, and the only remaining danger is the activity of the  "three-headed party of war and its tail," stated Prime Minister Nikol  Pashinyan on June 17 during the government's Q&A session in the  National Assembly.

Noting that the peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan is based  on the Alma-Ata Declaration, according to which the parties  recognized each other's territorial integrity, the Prime Minister  emphasized that certain political forces, with their statements and  symbols, are effectively calling into question the agreements  underlying the peace process. The head of government questioned  whether the "Strong Armenia" party, should it enter parliament, would  also display Nagorno-Karabakh flags (as the "Armenia" bloc does). In  this context, he stressed that this is precisely where he believes  security threats begin to form.

"It turns out that there is a force in parliament that does not  accept the architecture of the peace treaty.  Accordingly, this  generates direct threats and provokes reactions," Pashinyan said. He  emphasized that these parties must be consistently eradicated from  Armenia's political life, otherwise, he said, they will do everything  possible to renew the conflict and war with their neighbors.  According to the Prime Minister, by bribing voters, they are putting  the country at risk.

He also noted that 700,000 Armenian citizens, who constitute the  majority of voters, have confirmed their commitment to the peace  agenda by voting for the ruling party.

According to the Prime Minister, despite the colossal amount of  electoral bribes, the people still won. "On the one hand, this  testifies to the institutional maturity of our state. On the other  hand, it shows that this path must be continued. I want to reiterate  that eradicating forces involved in distributing electoral bribes  from Armenia's political life is becoming one of the top priorities  on our agenda. We will follow this path by every possible means," the  head of government stated.

Pashinyan also declared from the parliamentary rostrum that he would  "crash" these forces and called on dissenting citizens to take to the  streets and stage a revolution to change the government.

At the same time, he touched on the hotly debated topic of "the  resettlement of 300,000 Azerbaijanis." "This is a fake. This has  never happened, is not happening, and will not happen. I have already  explained why, and I believe that our society must respond  accordingly to the political forces spreading this lie," Pashinyan  said.
