
ArmInfo. During a joint meeting in Yerevan, Aram Ghazaryan, Director of the Rescue Service and Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Armenia, and Cornel Ionescu, Ambassador of Romania to the Republic, confirmed their readiness to develop cooperation between the countries.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia, during the meeting, Ghazaryan, highly appreciating the friendly relations and effective cooperation between the countries, emphasized the importance of developing cooperation in the areas of civil defense, disaster risk management, and emergency situations. In this regard, he presented the ongoing reforms in the Armenian Rescue Service aimed at modernizing the civil defense system, developing its potential, and bringing it into line with international standards.
The parties also noted the importance of expanding professional contacts, conducting joint training events, and implementing modern technologies and best international practices to improve the effectiveness of emergency management.
In turn, the Ambassador presented Romania's experience in civil defense and crisis management and noted that Romania is interested in further deepening cooperation with Armenia. At the end of the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their readiness to continue constructive dialogue and implement initiatives of mutual interest, emphasizing that the development of Armenian-Romanian cooperation contributes to strengthening trust between the two countries and expanding effective collaboration in various fields.
