


ArmInfo. An earthquake has struck Azerbaijan, with tremors also being felt in neighboring Armenia, according to the Seismic Protection Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.
According to the source, the magnitude 4.8 earthquake occurred on June 12 at 3:13 PM local time, 52 kilometers southeast of the Azerbaijani city of Shaki. The intensity of the tremors at the epicenter measured 6–7 points on the MSK-64 scale.
Tremors measuring 2–3 points were felt in the Armenian town of Berd, Tavush region, as well as in the villages of Chinari and Aygedzor.
