ArmInfo. Today, June 12, Igor Titov, Consul General of Russia in Gyumri, took part in solemn events dedicated to Russia Day at the 102nd Russian Military Base of the Order of Alexander Nevsky.
According to the press service of the Consulate General in Gyumri, the head of the diplomatic mission delivered a congratulatory speech to the servicemen, wishing them success in their combat training and a secure home front.
"To a significant extent, this is your holiday—the holiday of the defenders of the Motherland, our Russia. Without you, without your dedication, without your experience and military service, we cannot imagine an independent, united Russia. It is you—commanders and rank-and-file soldiers alike—who are responsible for maintaining our country's security and preserving geopolitical stability in the world. The future of our shared Motherland depends on us. Therefore, each of us, at our respective posts, must work for the benefit of Russia and defend its interests," Titov stated.
The events included a military parade, a wreath-laying ceremony at the monument to fallen servicemen, and a traditional celebratory concert.
