Lightning strike destroys bridge in Armenia - MIA

ArmInfo.The emergency occurred yesterday evening on the Yerevan-Sevan highway.

According to the press service of the RA Ministry of Internal  Affairs, on June 11 at 7:26 PM, the 112 emergency response center of  the Ministry of Internal Affairs received a call about a bridge  collapse due to a lightning strike on the Yerevan-Sevan highway near  the town of Charentsavan. Fortunately, there were no injuries.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs Rescue Service and police responded  to the scene.

Three vehicles were damaged. Rescue workers and police are working on  the scene. Traffic in the opposite direction has been rerouted to one  lane.
