ArmInfo. Citizens of Armenia do not want to leave their homeland in search of a better life, as declared by Gagik Tsarukyan, leader of the Prosperous Armenia party, during a campaign rally in Masis.
According to him, 90 percent of the republic's residents are currently burdened by previously taken out loans. There was an economic crisis, a coronavirus epidemic, and a war; people were unemployed and forced to take out loans to make ends meet. Today, the state must lend a helping hand. Specifically, he proposed that debts of up to 3 million drams should be written off.
Tsarukyan sharply criticized the economic policy of the current authorities, stating that they are leading the country toward an abyss. "The economy is neither pro-government nor opposition. They will not find an alternative to the EAEU market; instead, loans will exert an even greater burden on our citizens. By ruining relations with Russia, they are unleashing an economic war. What is the purpose of this?" the businessman noted. He concluded by promising that, should his party succeed in the elections, he would resolve all pressing issues within a single day.
