ArmInfo. Representatives of the current Armenian government, when accusing opposition figures of lying, should first look in the mirror. This was stated by Iveta Tonoyan, press secretary of the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP), in response to the latest attacks by Nikol Pashinyan's chief of staff, Arayik Harutyunyan, against the opposition.
"Arayik Harutyunyan, once again imagining himself a giant of thought, made insulting statements against opposition leaders, accusing them of lying. It's noteworthy that the opposition is being accused of lying by a representative of a government whose last eight years of rule have become a symbol of lies, fraud, and broken promises," Tonoyan wrote on her Facebook page.
According to her, all of this is coming from a person whose political party's 2021 election program was a lie from start to finish, and the promises made remain only on paper, while the Armenian people are paying the price. "The government continues to mislead the public with illusions about Armenia's membership in the European Union, ignoring the reality that such destructive policies could soon bankrupt tens of thousands of families and pose serious security threats to the country.
Regarding responsibility for words, in the case of Gagik Tsarukyan, the people have defined it as follows: our word is our deed. Therefore, when it comes to lies, deception, and broken promises, I believe that first and foremost we need to look in the mirror," Tonoyan concluded.
