A meeting of the jubilee commission dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Alexander Spendiaryan National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre was held at the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports (MOESCS). During the meeting, the participants wrapped up discussions on various proposals submitted for organizing the centenary events. The commission deemed programs designed for wide public audiences to be the most appropriate.
Specifically, it was proposed to align the main jubilee event with the official celebrations marking the 35th anniversary of Armenia's independence, which will take place on September 21. Minister Zhanna Andreasyan placed particular emphasis on the significance of a high-profile event planned to be held at the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris.
She highlighted the importance of organizing exhibitions featuring archival materials, historical photographs, and documentary evidence, as well as expositions showcasing the theatre's architectural blueprints and design solutions. Furthermore, the participants discussed the production of commemorative souvenir merchandise, involving self-employed artists and cultural figures.
As part of the presented programs, there are also plans to produce educational films utilizing artificial intelligence, developed as interactive multimedia content with the active participation of school students.
