ArmInfo. The "Armenia" bloc of the second president of the Republic, Robert Kocharyan, accused the ruling Civil Contract party of clearly abusing administrative resources during the election campaign.
As explained by the political party's press service, a meeting between members of the "Armenia" bloc and residents of Talin was scheduled for May 13. "However, the Talin municipality informed us that due to the visit of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan today, they will not be able to ensure our meeting with citizens at the planned location and time. We conclude that this is yet another clear example of the abuse of administrative resources," the bloc stated. The political force emphasized that since their goal is to organize a proper and dignified meeting for hundreds of citizens, and the designated location is the most suitable, they refuse to accept the artificial restrictions proposed. "We will meet with our compatriots in Talin in the coming days. We will announce the exact date and location later," the bloc concluded.
As a reminder, parliamentary elections in Armenia are scheduled for June 7, 2026. Nineteen political forces are participating. The pre-election period runs from May 8 to June 5. Campaigning is prohibited the day before the vote, June 6, and until 8:00 PM on election day.
