RA Prosecutor`s Office officially requests extradition of Nver  Tsarukyan from Belarus

According to a statement released by the Prosecutor's Office in response to an inquiry from Public Television, in January 2025, the Prosecutor  General's Office of Armenia  officially requested the extradition of  Nver Tsarukyan, the son of "Prosperous Armenia" party leader Gagik  Tsarukyan, from Belarus to face criminal charges.

In November 2025, Belarusian authorities responded via letter,  stating that the extradition request would be reviewed in accordance  with applicable international treaties once the suspect's location is  confirmed and he is detained on Belarusian territory.

It should be noted that earlier today, during a rally in Yerevan's  Shengavit district, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told reporters  that he intends to bring Gagik Tsarukyan's son back from Belarus and  prosecute him.

In response, Gagik Tsarukyan stated that his son was outside Armenia  on business, but would return to the country after the elections  (June 7) and explain where he had been and why he was absent.

Recall, it was previously reported that on October 26, 2024, at  approximately 3:30 AM, an incident involving Nver Tsarukyan occurred  in a casino. A conflict erupted between the establishment's  employees, Nver Tsarukyan, and his bodyguards, which escalated into a  fight, and shots were fired.

The Investigative Committee announced that criminal proceedings have  been initiated and five individuals are being prosecuted. A public  criminal prosecution has been initiated against Nver Tsarukyan under  Article 253, Part 2, Paragraphs 1 and 2 of the RA Criminal Code  (incitement to robbery committed by a group of persons by prior  conspiracy, with damage to property security equipment), Article 297,  Part 3 (hooliganism with the use of weapons), and Article 335, Part 1  (illegal possession and carrying of firearms). Nver Tsarukyan has  been remanded in custody by court order and placed on the  international wanted list.
