Catholicos of All Armenians congratulates Shio III on his election as  Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia

ArmInfo.  Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II sent a congratulatory message to the newly elected head of the Georgian Orthodox Church, Catholicos-Patriarch  Shio III of All Georgia.

The congratulatory letter, distributed by the Chancellery of the  Mother See of Etchmiadzin, reads, in part:  "Your election is a clear  testimony to your many years of dedicated service to the Georgian  Church and people. We pray that the Almighty Lord, with His abundant  grace, will always strengthen you in your lofty patriarchal mission  of guiding the pious Georgian people along the paths of peace and  blessing. Your Holiness, beloved brother in Christ, we are confident  that the centuries-old fraternal ties between the Armenian and  Georgian Churches, founded on love for our Lord Jesus Christ and a  rich spiritual and historical heritage, will continue to serve as a  solid foundation for cooperation between our Churches, peoples, and  states during your ministry."

His Holiness wished Catholicos-Patriarch Shio III good health and  many years of fruitful service for the glory of God and for the  benefit of the Georgian Church and the believing Georgian people.
