RPA: Not Eurosummit, but Eurovision

ArmInfo.  The 8th European Political Community Summit held in Armenia wasn't a Eurosummit, but Eurovision. Armen Ashotyan, Deputy Chairman of the Republican Party,  wrote about this on his Facebook page.

"Nikol (RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan - ed.) and his hosts turned  the most serious event - the European Political Forum and the  EU-Armenia Summit - into Eurovision. Showmanship at its peak, art at  its lowest. Image at its peak, content at its lowest. Noise at its  peak, quality at its lowest. Hypocrisy at its peak, taste at its  lowest," the politician noted. According to him, the festival had its  fair share of eccentrics, but the stars were Macron, who transformed  his country's greatness and reputation into Beaujolais sparkling  wine, and Nicol, who became Armenia's anti-brand. 

"Eurovision ended, quickly clearing away its haphazard political  connections, geopolitical debauchery (if you don't understand that  word, Google it), and PR intoxication. And, as often happens after  such wild orgies, headaches, shock, and lost underwear remain the  only results and memories of this magical but empty celebration. And  the price of these triumphs, in every sense of the word, is being  paid and will continue to be paid by the Armenian people. One could  even say, as in the famous song: 'My Eurosummit, which became  Eurovision,'" Armen Ashotyan concluded.
