ArmInfo. The newspaper of the family of current Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has attempted to attribute a "Belarusian connection" to the assassination attempt on the head of the Civil Contract party headquarters in the Balahovit community of the Kotayk region.
The newspaper "Haykakan Zhamanak" (Armenian Time) reported that the individuals who attempted to assassinate the head of the ruling party headquarters in Balahovit arrived in Armenia from Belarus. It also notes that a certain Tigran Mnatsakanyan is allegedly the perpetrator of the operation, assisted by Vladimir Khudiyan and Gor Sahakyan. It's noteworthy that the Investigative Committee only curtly reported to ArmInfo regarding the Balahovit incident that three people had been charged during the preliminary investigation, one of whom was arrested.
The Armenian police press service, however, stated that the incident occurred on May 1st and was committed by residents of the Ararat region.
Curiously, a Telegram channel affiliated with the Armenian government is attempting to give this apparently mundane incident a foreign veneer favorable to the ruling party, claiming it was allegedly ordered by Russia and Belarus. This seems a bit ridiculous, as who would be the leader of this headquarters, this small community, to be suddenly attacked at the behest of Russia and Belarus.
