
ArmInfo. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s "Civil Contract" party would receive 26.7% of the vote if parliamentary elections were held this coming weekend. This is according to the results of a survey titled "Terz-Blot-Re-Blot," conducted by the MPG consulting company.
According to the poll, another 14.1% of respondents said they would vote for Samvel Karapetyan's "Strong Armenia," 8.2% for the "Armenia" alliance of the second president Robert Kocharyan, 7.5% for Gagik Tsarukyan's "Prosperous Armenia" party, 4.2% for former Ombudsman Arman Tatoyan's "Wings of Unity," 3.1% for the "Democracy, Law, Discipline" party, 2.7% for Edmon Marukyan's "Bright Armenia" party, 2.3% for Gurgen Simonyan's Meritocratic Party of Armenia, 1.9% for former mayor Hayk Marutyan's "New Force," and 1.7% for Aram Sargsyan's "Republic" party. The other 9 political forces that submitted documents for participation in the elections received between 1.1% and 0.3%.
Notably, 8.3% of citizens refused to answer, 8% found it difficult to answer, 1.3% stated they would spoil the ballot, and 5.7% answered that they would not vote.
When asked how confident they are in their choice, 67.2% of respondents stated that their position is definite and will not change, 10.9% said they are "rather confident," 5.9% are "rather not confident," 10.8% are "not confident at all" and their opinion might change, and 5.2% found it difficult to answer.
The survey was conducted among residents of the Republic of Armenia through telephone calls between April 27 and April 29 of this year. The sample size was 1,101 people, with a margin of error of +/- 3%.
