
ArmInfo. As part of the celebrations for the 35th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Armenia, the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Armenia (NPHO) will perform 14 concerts in five major cultural centers of Europe.
The concerts will take place from April 27 to May 16, 2026, and will include prestigious concert halls in Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and Spain. The orchestra will feature a brilliant cast of world-class soloists: Augustin Dumay, one of the greatest violinists of our time; Sergey Khachatryan, a world- renowned Armenian violinist; Eva Gevorgyan, a rising piano star; and Ettore Pagano, a young Italian cello virtuoso.
The conducting lineup is no less impressive: Eduard Topchjan (Armenia), Pier Carlo Orizio (Italy), and Benjamin Zwick (Switzerland).
The concert programs include masterpieces of classical music. European audiences will be presented with: D. Shostakovich: Symphony No. 10, G. Mahler: Symphony No. 1 (Titan), W. A. Mozart: Violin Concerto No. 3, M. Bruch: Violin Concerto No. 1, J. Brahms: Violin Concerto, P. I. Tchaikovsky: Piano Concerto No. 1, A. Dvorak: Cello Concerto and A. Khachaturian: Excerpts from the ballets Spartacus and Gayane.
"This tour will further strengthen Armenia's cultural presence on Europe's most prestigious stages. The tour is a testament to the high status and relevance of the 100-year-old Armenian orchestra in the European musical and cultural arena," the National Philharmonic's press service said in a statement.
According to the source, the pan-European tour is organized with the supported of the Armenian Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports.
