ArmInfo.  In the South Caucasus region, an inertial approach to events in Iran is evident, and this inertia is more noticeable in Georgia, less so in Armenia and  Azerbaijan.  This was stated by Russian Iran expert Karine Gevorkyan  at the conference "The Near and Middle East:  Challenges and  Prospects."

ArmInfo. Gagik Tsarukyan, leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP), presented the political party's approach to the universal health insurance system in Armenia.   Tsarukyan recalled that his party is participating in the  parliamentary elections with the "Armenia Proposal" program, which  presents the most important issues affecting the country and the  party's proposals for addressing them. One such issue, as the PAP  leader noted, is healthcare, which has seen public debate intensify  in recent months following the country's implementation of a  universal health insurance system. 

ArmInfo.  Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan, meeting with Kevin Hamilton, the NATO Secretary General's Special Representative for the Caucasus and  Central Asia, congratulated him on his assumption of office and  wished him success.

ArmInfo. Due to the risk of flooding in the Vedi and Marmarik river basins, the Ministry of Internal Affairs' Rescue Service has been put on high alert by order  of the Minister of Internal Affairs (MIA). This was reported by the  press service of the MIA's Rescue Service.

ArmInfo.  An Armenian court rejected the prosecution's motions to detain two supporters of Samvel Karapetyan's Strong Armenia party, who were detained on April 17 in front of the Anti-Corruption Court. This was written by lawyer Vahan  Hovhannisyan on his Facebook page.

ArmInfo.  On June 7, 2026, the Armenian people will have to say "yes" to the peace established between Armenia and Azerbaijan. This was stated by RA Prime Minister  Nikol Pashinyan on his Facebook page on April 20, while presenting  the election program of the ruling Civil Contract party.

ArmInfo.  Lilit Galstyan, a member of the Armenian parliament from the opposition "Armenia" faction, has accused Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of lying  regarding the restoration of the Tsitsernakaberd memorial complex to  the victims of the Armenian Genocide.

ArmInfo. Russian State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin held a meeting with his colleagues-the heads of delegations from the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly member  countries. Representatives from Armenia did not participate. The  meeting took place ahead of the meeting of the Council of the  Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization  (CSTO PA).

ArmInfo.  The Anti-Corruption Court of Armenia has accepted for review another case filed by the Prosecutor General's Office regarding the confiscation of illegally  acquired property. This time, the property in question concerns  former National Assembly member Mkhitar Zakaryan.

ArmInfo. The Progressive Bulgaria Alliance, led by former President Rumen Radev, is leading the parliamentary elections with 39.2% of the vote, according to exit poll data from Trend Research Group, released by the Associated Press on the evening of election day, Sunday, April 19.

ArmInfo.  The Belgian Federal Parliament adopted a resolution calling for the right of return of the Armenians of Artsakh to be ensured. The European Office of Hay  Dat (EAFJD) reported this, welcoming the comprehensive resolution  unanimously adopted by the Belgian Chamber of Representatives on  April 16.

ArmInfo. As part of the celebrations of the 150th anniversary of the birth of the great  Armenian writer Avetik Isahakyan, a memorial plaque in honor of the  Master was unveiled at 2266 Dorsoduro, where the writer lived, in  southern Venice.

ArmInfo.   On April 18, Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia Alen Simonyan visited the Armenian Patriarchate of Constantinople (AAC) during his visit to  Istanbul.

ArmInfo.  The Bright Armenia party, which plans to participate in the upcoming parliamentary elections in a coalition with political commentator Karpis Pashoyan,  is proposing nominating a member of the clergy for the country's  presidency. Edmon Marukyan, leader of the Bright Armenia party,  announced this at the party's congress on April 18.

ArmInfo. Ameriabank's  Investor's Day initiative this time has united Armenia's tech  community. The day before (April 16), the Bank invited  representatives of the Union of Advanced Technology Enterprises  (UATE),  which unites over 250 tech companies, to its platform.  Ameriabank itself is a member of UATE since 2025, acting as a  changemaker in the sector.
