ArmInfo. Very soon you will see Armenia become strong.  This statement was made today by Samvel Karapetyan,  Russian- Armenian businessman and leader of the Strong Armenia party,  during proceedings at the Anti-Corruption Court. The hearing, presided over by Judge Vahe Dolmazyan, continued to review the precautionary measures against the entrepreneur.

ArmInfo. Samvel Karapetyan, a Russian-Armenian businessman and leader of the Strong Armenia party, has been hit with the largest bail in Armenia's history, 4 billion drams (over $10 million), for his transfer to  house arrest, according to Aram Vardevanyan, Karapetyan's lawyer. The statement was made  during a court hearing regarding Karapetyan's preventive measure.

ArmInfo. The Mother See of Etchmiadzin called on the Ministry of Justice of Armenia to respect the law and the established ecclesiastical order, to refrain from obstructing the Church's mission, and to restore the normal  functioning of spiritual ministry in penitentiary institutions.

ArmInfo. According to  information from the  press service of the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs received by ArmInfo, seventeen people have been detained as a result of clashes between supporters of the Strong  Armenia party chairman, Russian-Armenian businessman Samvel  Karapetyan, and police outside the Anti-Corruption Court.

ArmInfo. Chairman of the Central Election Commission Vahagn Hovakimyan does not believe that RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is using administrative resources.

ArmInfo. House arrest has been imposed on 12 supporters of the Artashat office of the Strong Armenia Party, who were detained on April 16. The press service of the Anti- Corruption Committee of Armenia reported this.

ArmInfo.  At the plenary session of the National Assembly of Armenia on April 17, RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan lashed out at the opposition. According to him, the people must become masters of peace in the parliamentary elections, a process that is being thwarted by the three-headed opposition-the Strong Armenia, Prosperous Armenia, and Armenia bloc parties.  Essentially, as Pashinyan stated, all three political  forces are "former" parties whose names are on their electoral lists.

ArmInfo.  At the invitation of the Russian Minister of Sport and President of the Russian Olympic Committee, Mikhail Degtyarev, a delegation led by Gagik Tsarukyan, President of the National Olympic Committee of Armenia, visited Moscow from April 14 to 16.

This stark assessment was  delivered on Wednesday at a Capitol Hill Staff Briefing hosted by the  Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA), titled "Peace Without  Justice in the South Caucasus."
