ArmInfo.  Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot discussed steps to develop the Armenian-French strategic partnership  at a meeting in Paris.

ArmInfo.  In Armenia, individuals over 65 will be able to continue working in the civil service. Amendments to the Law "On Civil Service" were approved at a meeting of the RA National Assembly Committee on Labor and Social  Affairs on April 29.

Archimandrite Ruben Zargaryan wrote this on his Facebook page in response to statements by Armenian Minister of  Social Labor Arsen Torosyan on the Public Television of Armenia that  "the topic of Azerbaijan's destruction of Armenian cultural,  historical, and religious monuments in Artsakh should not be included  in the agenda of relations between Yerevan and Baku."

ArmInfo.  Current "blue passports" of citizens of the Republic of Armenia will remain valid until their expiration date. This was announced on her Facebook page by Nelly Davtyan, Head of the Migration and Citizenship Service of  the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.

ArmInfo.  A series of commemorative events were held in Armenia to mark the 120th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding scientist and founder of  nuclear medicine, Avetik Ignatievich Burnazyan.

ArmInfo.  If the current Armenian government is re-elected in the June parliamentary elections, Russian-Armenian relations will be at risk. This was  stated by Konstantin Zatulin, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma  Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration, and Relations with  Compatriots, in an interview with journalists on the sidelines of a  meeting of the Armenian- Russian "Lazarev Club." 

ArmInfo. The Investigative Committee of Armenia has completed the preliminary investigation of three criminal cases opened in connection with the illegal sale of drugs and money laundering on an especially large scale. The cases have been transferred to the supervising prosecutor with the  indictment, the Investigative Committee's press service reported.

ArmInfo.  The EU welcomed the meeting of the Armenia-Turkey Joint Working Group on the restoration and re-operation of the Gyumri-Kars railway.

ArmInfo. For the first time, Artashat will celebrate International Jazz Day. According to the press service of the Tourism Committee, on April 30  at 18:00, an open-air concert will take place at the courtyard of the  Upper Artashat Cultural Center, featuring Levon Malkhasyan, the  Armenian State Estrada-Symphonic Orchestra, and the “Dialog Projeqt”  jazz band.

He was  commenting on the arrest of Artur Avanesyan, the legendary Artsakh  intelligence officer, holder of the Second Degree Combat Cross Order,  and head of the Strong Armenia security team, during an interview for  the "5 Questions" series.
