ArmInfo. For the first time, the European Political Community is meeting in the South Caucasus, thereby placing Armenia at the heart of Europe, to which it belongs.  This was stated by European Council President Anoniu Costa on May 4  at the opening of the 8th ENP summit.

ArmInfo.   The Commonwealth Film Festival will be held in Meghri from September 18th to 20th. The festival aims to support young filmmakers and develop professional collaboration between filmmakers from the CIS countries. The festival  is part of the Meghri - Cultural Capital of the CIS program. The goal  of the event is to develop professional, cultural, and creative  collaboration between young filmmakers from the Commonwealth  countries, support young filmmakers, expand professional networks,  and create a platform for the exchange of film experiences.

ArmInfo.  Peace has been established between Armenia and Azerbaijan. This was announced by Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan at the opening of the 8th  European Community Summit.

ArmInfo.  The families of Armenian prisoners held in Baku have addressed an open letter to Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney requesting that Canada's Senior Official  for Hostage Affairs be engaged in the case of Armenian prisoners and  to support efforts for their immediate and unconditional release. 

ArmInfo.  British Prime Minister Keir Starmer outlined the main topics of discussions to be held in Yerevan at the 8th European Political Community Summit.

ArmInfo.  At its extraordinary meeting on May 3, the Central Electoral Commission of Armenia registered the electoral lists of parties/blocs participating in the  regular elections to the National Assembly on June 7, 2026.

ArmInfo.  The European Union welcomes Armenia's commitment to strong democracy. This was stated on May 4 by Roberta Mezzola, President of the European Parliament, who arrived in Armenia to participate in the 8th European Political  Community (EPC) Summit.

ArmInfo.  Armenia must decide for itself on its future relations with the European Union.  EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kalas  told journalists in Yerevan.

ArmInfo.  Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand in Yerevan. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 8th  European Political Community Summit, which was held in Yerevan.

ArmInfo.  Europe values Armenia's sovereignty and security. French President Emmanuel Macron stated this in a conversation with journalists on May 4.

ArmInfo. Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz arrived in Armenia to participate in the 8th European Political Community Summit in Yerevan. He was met at the Yerevan  airport by Deputy Speaker of the Armenian Parliament Ruben Rubinyan.

ArmInfo.  Nikol Pashinyan began his prime ministerial term in 2018 with a high-level summit of heads of Francophone states in Yerevan, and it's quite possible he'll  conclude it with the European Political Community summit. ArmInfo.  French President Emmanuel Macron intends to discuss with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev the issue of Armenian prisoners of war held in Baku. He  announced this to journalists on the evening of May 3 in Yerevan.

ArmInfo.  The heads of delegations and guests of the 8th European Political Community Summit were "greeted" with banners and protesters, who drew the attention of  European leaders to the problems of the people of Artsakh and  democracy in Armenia.

ArmInfo.  Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan considered it a great honor to attend the opening ceremony of the Belgian Embassy in Yerevan.

ArmInfo. The 8th European Political Community Summit begins in Yerevan.

ArmInfo.  The new biometric passports for Armenian citizens will be highly secure and incorporate advanced international practices. A delegation led by RA Minister of  Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan paid a working visit to Haarlem, the  Netherlands, where the new passports will be printed at a  manufacturing facility of the French company IN Groupe.

ArmInfo.  On May 4, the Belgian Embassy opened in Yerevan. The opening ceremony was attended by RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Belgian Prime Minister Bart de  Wever. Nikol Pashinyan posted footage of the embassy opening ceremony  on his Facebook page.

ArmInfo. European leaders continue to arrive in Armenia for the eighth European Political Community (EPC) summit, which begins on Monday, April 4. This is the largest gathering of European leaders ever in the South Caucasus.
