ArmInfo.  The newly appointed Ambassador of Ghana to Armenia, Koma-Steem Jehu Appiah (residence in  Moscow), presented copies of his credentials to Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Armenia Mnatsakan Safaryan.

ArmInfo. The "Armenia" bloc of the second president of the Republic, Robert Kocharyan, accused the ruling Civil Contract party of clearly abusing administrative resources during the election campaign.

Narek Karapetyan, a member of the  political council of the Strong Armenia party, wrote this on his  Facebook page after meeting with village residents as part of the  party's election campaign for the upcoming parliamentary elections in  Armenia on June 7.

ArmInfo. Official Yerevan welcomes Turkey's decision to lift barriers to bilateral trade with Armenia, which is another result of the normalization process between Armenia and Turkey. This was stated in a statement by Armenian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ani Badalyan regarding Turkey's  decision to lift barriers to bilateral trade with Armenia.

ArmInfo. As part of confidence-building measures undertaken in the process of normalizing relations with Armenia, which has been ongoing since 2022, as of May  11, 2026, bureaucratic preparations for the commencement of direct  trade between our country and Armenia have been completed. Turkish  Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Oncu Keceli wrote this on his Twitter  account (X).

ArmInfo. The Trump administration's dealmaking blitz with Belarus has secured the release of hundreds of detainees. By trading targeted sanctions  relief for the release of political prisoners in Belarus, the White  House has helped free more than five hundred people from unjust  captivity. A similar deal with Azerbaijan in the South Caucasus would  produce major rewards, with much less risk, Atlantic Council experts  believe.

ArmInfo.  Historic progress has been recorded on visa liberalization between Armenia and the European Union. RA Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan stated this in a video address.

According to a statement released by the Prosecutor's Office in response to an inquiry from Public Television, in January 2025, the Prosecutor  General's Office of Armenia  officially requested the extradition of  Nver Tsarukyan, the son of "Prosperous Armenia" party leader Gagik  Tsarukyan, from Belarus to face criminal charges.

In a  public statement on her Facebook page, she formally appeals to the  National Security Service, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the  Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Armenia.

ArmInfo.A local resident was detained by police on Tuesday during a campaign rally for the ruling Civil Contract party in Yerevan's Shengavit district. The  man's wife shared video footage of the arrest on social media.

ArmInfo.A delegation from the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) met with Vahagn Hovakimyan, Chairman of the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) of Armenia, to assess  the country's preparations for the  parliamentary elections.

ArmInfo.Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan announced that he has no immediate plans to hold talks with his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov.  Speaking to journalists in Yerevan during a campaign event, Mirzoyan was asked whether a meeting was being arranged to address the diplomatic rift.

The legal team representing Samvel Karapetyan, the "Strong Armenia" bloc's candidate for Prime Minister, will formally seek the recusal of Judge Vahe  Dolmazyan at the next hearing of the Anti-Corruption Court. Defense  attorney Aram Vardevanyan announced the move to reporters on May 12,  citing a pattern of judicial decisions that the defense claims  demonstrates bias and a violation of the defendant's fundamental  rights.

ArmInfo.Ara Aivazyan, former Foreign Minister of Armenia and current parliamentary candidate for the Prosperous Armenia party, stated that a victory for Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in the upcoming elections would  trigger a never-ending cycle of territorial and political demands  from Azerbaijan and Turkey.
