Opposition MP labels restoration works at Tsitsernakaberd Memorial  Complex as vandalism

ArmInfo. Opposition MP Lilit Galstyan has labeled the restoration works at the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex as vandalism. In a Facebook post  accompanied by  photographic evidence, she emphasized that monuments  of national significance are not restored in that manner.

"Even with the naked eye, it is clear that the monument has been  literally distorted, causing irreversible damage to its architectural  design and stonework," she wrote, noting that the color and texture  of the original stones  have been disrupted and poor-quality seams  are visible. The MP called it a waste of funds and a manifestation of  unprofessionalism, as seen in many other areas.

"This crime is the consequence of arrogant ignorance and vulgar  populism. How could this pan-Armenian shrine, this architectural gem,  be so distorted? Everything they touch turns into a disaster,"  Galstyan emphasized.
